ABOUT THE FILM
Whether he was deeply devoted or missing in action, you simply wouldn't be alive without him. But how crucial is he in the final analysis? What exactly does a father's involvement or absence affect in your psychology, philosophy and perspective on life? We will follow three men as they attempt to reconnect with their children after a long period of estrangement and absence. Is the desire to be a father enough to do the job well?
America's most prominent, successful, and celebrated people, have Dads too. This film will reveal how these A-list celebrities, and power-players became who they are with, or without their dear old dad. This film confronts the changing modern American family, which all too frequently holds the father-figure as an optional part. With Dad as a variable and not a constant, what is the outcome of the father factor in the human equation?

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Roxbury, MA, Songhai was surrounded by the gang warfare era that claimed many of her friends and family. A former news reporter, and TV Producer, Songhai has worked for CBS, PBS, and has produced undercover footage for Dateline NBC. Songhai is a student Emmy Award Winner, and has received the Lorraine Hansberry award for Visual Art. Songhai holds a MFA in Film and TV Production from New York University and graduated summa cum laude from Howard University.
